Someone rejoices at this fact, someone exclaims “oh, horror, it’s with us again”, but the low landing is back in fashion. Today I want to talk about how to wear this trend so as not to look unsuccessful. Since the trend has not yet gone to the full extent to the people, there are few actual photos, so for illustrations I will use photos of past years, when a low waist was in fashion.
The biggest mistake is things that don’t fit or a belt that is too tight, above which everything that doesn’t fit into jeans or a skirt rises. Moreover, in order for this to happen, it is not at all necessary to be fat. You can see that the girl in the picture is quite slim and has a pronounced waist. But unsuccessful jeans created the effect of fat folds on the sides.
A low rise (assuming we can see the belt) doesn’t work well with loose tops that aren’t skintight. Because in this case, in place of the waist, an indistinct rectangle is obtained and the body simply seems disproportionate. Especially if the trousers or jeans are also shortened.
Designers sometimes add peeking underwear to low trousers. But such a stylistic move will look good only on the catwalk. This is something that I would not advise to bring to life, if we are not talking about some very creative outfits for a party, stage or photography.
A low rise, especially with a cropped top, often exposes the belly. This can look good in a summer wardrobe, provided a beautiful flat stomach. But in colder periods it is better to avoid such solutions.
You should be very careful when choosing low-rise skirts. If in trousers and jeans the groin line still visually gives us some kind of reference point for the proportions of the figure, then the skirt, in which we see only the waist line and bottom line, will simply give the impression of short legs and a squat figure.
In general, this is the trend that I would still advise leaving for girls with a model figure and long legs, who are not threatened by any “visual shortening of the legs”.
