6 tips for washing printed clothes

It is important to print t-shirts with the right quality. Therefore, we pay particular attention to the quality of the material in combination with the print. Would you like to ensure that the print on your clothing remains visible for a particularly long time? Then it is advisable to wash your T-shirts carefully. Prepare well and use the following tips:

  1. Wash printed clothing at a maximum of 40 degrees.
    We even recommend washing your clothing at 30 degrees, but definitely not warmer than 40 degrees. The higher the heat when washing the shirt, the faster it will shrink or the print will fade.
  2. Always wash T-shirts inside out.
    If you wash the shirt inside out, the print will stay beautiful for longer. This way you protect the print from snags or zippers from other clothing and the rough washing drum. The print would fade faster if it came into contact with it. It is therefore advisable to always wash good clothes inside out.
  3. Wash by color
    By sorting your clothes by color and only washing them with the same colors, your clothes will stay beautiful for longer. For example, if you mix light colors with dark colors, both colors will become paler or washed out. Sort your laundry into colored laundry, light laundry and dark laundry. Never wash colored T-shirts together with white T-shirts!
  4. Stop! Don’t put clothes in the dryer
    As tempting as it may seem to quickly dry an item of clothing, don’t put it in the dryer! This can cause the print to warp and shrink. Allow printed T-shirts to dry on a drying rack placed indoors or outdoors. As long as you don’t expose the shirts to direct sunlight, they won’t discolor.
  5. Use the right detergent
    When washing printed T-shirts, avoid detergents with aggressive substances such as bleach. These can affect the pressure in the washing machine. Choose a soft, liquid detergent. A fabric softener is not necessary!
  6. Ironing printed shirts inside out
    We always advise against ironing the print directly. Place the shirt inside out on the ironing board. Set the iron on a low setting. Use the iron to straighten the shirt.
